Another set of ADP-55 Multifunction Air Data Probes is headed into the field! More than 220 units are now in operation all around the world. It delivers highly accurate air data to UAVs, eVTOLs, eSTOLs, HAPSs, turboprops, jet aircraft, helicopters and research aircraft by combining five essential sensors into one single probe: Altitude, Airspeed, Angle of Attack (AoA), Angle of Side-Slip (AoS) and Total Air Temperature (TAT).

In just 18 months, Simtec has scaled the HPS-1 heated pitot-static probe to full series production, with over 3000 units sold in 2025 alone. This milestone has deepened our expertise in rapid production ramp-ups and strengthened our global partnerships with aerospace and UAV leaders. We remain committed to the idea that successful innovation in this complex field requires a tight feedback loop between engineering, manufacturing, and real-world flight experience.

Simtec stands for Aerospace Grade Pressure Sensors! Successfully operating a sensor on ground is a first step. However, an air data computer has to withstand the extreme temperature, altitude and vibration conditions of real flight. Simtec uses aerospace grade sensors that are fully calibrated from -55°C up +85°C. With more than 2,000 Air Data Computers sold, Simtec has a huge experience with highly accurate aerospace grade sensors, which have been successfully operated from sea level up to 70,000 ft.

We are pleased to let you know that Simtec AG has been recertified according to EN9100. The current certificate can be downloaded from: https://lnkd.in/eiByeC3H. EN9100 is the globally recognised standard for quality management systems in the aerospace and defence industry. EN9100:2018 is equivalent to AS9100 D and JISQ 9100:2016.

In response to increased production requirements, Simtec is expanding its operating space by 50%. The new area is equipped with high-quality ESD flooring to ensure a safe and controlled environment for the manufacturing, calibration and testing of sensitive Airborne Electronic Hardware.

The first in a series of product highlights is our latest Air Data Computer, ADC-10. All your air-data needs are combined into a lightweight aluminium box. It's performance and robustness are proven on a daily basis, as it is currently used by more than 40 different aircraft types with thousands of flight hours accumulated over the past two years.
Simtec is proud to present the ADC-10 as it combines the renown Swiss technology, highest grade electronics and the passion of our engineering team.

Selecting a new Miniature or Nano Air Data Computer for UAV or eVTOL applications has to be considered carefully. Even though cost and qualification according to DO-160, DO-178 are very important when a new ADC is selected, the basic physics behind the pressure measurement must not be forgotten.

Simtec's new 'ARINC-429 to USB Converter Box' makes it easier for our customers to get started with our Air Data Systems with ARINC-429 data interface. Our PC software is fully compatible with the converter. If a customer wants to write their own software to access the converter, sample code is available on Github at https://lnkd.in/eV5XUqCj.

Research, development and innovation are the key to Simtec's success!

Simtec is proud to present its new ADS-9 miniature multi-function air data system, designed to provide highly accurate and fast air data on small flight vehicles. With a weight of less than 0.240 kg (0.53 lbs) the air data computer provides airspeed, altitude, angle of attack (AoA), angle of side-slip (AoS) and temperature data (OAT) over the RS-485 interface. All data is available over the full temperature range of -55°C to +80°C at a rate of up to 200 Hz.

With tens of thousands of miles flown, Simtec has gained extensive experience and knowledge with its ADP-55 on eVTOL aircraft over the past years. The new ADS-12 Multifunction Air Data System, optimized for eVTOL, is the synthesis of this track record. The key features are small size, light-weight, low power and compliance with highest safety standards.

Hundreds of ADC-10 air data computers have already been produced up to now. Simtec is constantly expanding and optimising production. The ADC-10 is a highly accurate and reliable air data computer that is used in a wide range of UAV projects. It is calibrated in Simtec's pressure laboratory, which is equipped with high-precision pressure calibrators and temperature chambers.
